I recovered a puppy last night from the house behind ours -- I went over to confront the people about leaving a puppy outside by itself overnight, and at first they assured me that they'd bring him in, then as I was leaving they asked if I wanted him.

I couldn't leave him there with direct confirmation that they weren't going to take care of him, so I took him (shivering and whimpering) home.

He's getting along okay with my two dogs, but there's no way we can keep him -- our house just isn't set up for three dogs, especially one as big as he'll likely get.

Anyway, his name is Trub, and he's adorable. Here are some pics, if you're interested or know someone who might be, please call me on 817 717 6614 or send me a PM:

Bano does dog rescue volunteer work. I will see if he can put out some postings.

Apparent breed (mix?)

Kyle knows that my wife and I are suckers for this kind of thing.

Looks to be a pit bull/pit bull mix. Guy said about 3 months. He's maybe 10 lbs. (Edit: Wife just weighed him, and he's nearly 16 lbs.!) and seems plenty healthy. He's driving my other two dogs nuts with all the "puppy-ness".

Seems to be a sweet dog -- really want him to find a good home.

It's probably important to note that I have NO IDEA of his medical or health history except that he survived being left outside during a whole bunch of crappy weather, so I'm guessing he has a pretty strong constitution.

Also, have no idea if he's had any of his shots or is registered with the city, etc. etc.

Sorry but you rescued the wrong breed. Pit Bulls and pit bull mixes are nearly impossible to place in rescue for a myriad of reasons.

The fact that this guy is so young will help his case but it's still a long shot at best.

I've sent out a few emails and I'll let you know if I get anything positive.

I haven't forgotten about you. I've got some contacts working on getting you information for a Pit-only rescue board. puppies typically don't last long on things like that.

Also. the rescue I work with said that they can't take him in but they might be able to post him for adoption on their website. they'll need pictures and a bio.

contact Karan Graham if you're interested in listing him through us:
