CO2 Tank

So does anyone know where I can get a CO2 tank for fairly cheap? I've been using my old roommate's, but he's finally gettin' off his lazy ass and brewin' again, so he needs it back soon, which means I need to get off my lazy ass and buy my own.

Watch craigslist for an out of date one. you can usually get an out of date 20# tank for $20-30. The hydro is not that much and we have a cash account with airgas under Cap and Hare

I don't need them so they are all up for sale. The club may want one for the bar so its complete. Total investment will be less than $50, you may even be able to swap without hydro fee.

James I will take one for sure. I was going to get one from the guy, but I ended up scoring a 10-12 keg freezer and a stainless steel table for a killer price during the time I had set to meet the guy. So you getting them for cheaper works out even better! Well done. I will put a really nice beer in the fridge and maybe we can drink to celebrate!

how dose the hydro with the cap and hare account work(i have an out of date tank)?

I need a regulator? Any on them? Would be willing to buy one if it has a regulator

Hydro - Take it to Airgas and they will exchange for a new tank. Tell them you have a cash account under Cap and Hare (and not &). The typical hydro fee is $20-25 but you may not get charged, don't ask dont tell.

Regulator - from experience, the best thing is to get a new one. Foreman's has several on their shelf now for $45. Micromatic is another good online place to order, if anyone places an order with micromatic, please PM me, I need a $3 part and shipping etc doubles the cost when not ordering anything else.
