I couldn't think of where else to post this. It's a long-shot, but I am desperate at this point. One of our dogs got out of the yard on Wed, May 26, and is still missing. We are doing everything we can to find her, hence the post here. We live in the Oakhurst (http://www.oakhurstfw.org/index.html)neighborhood in Fort Worth (map (http://maps.google.com/maps?oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&ie=UTF8&q=oakhurst+fort+worth&fb=1&gl=us&ei=We3_S8atA5HOywTtjc22DA&ved=0CBIQpQY&hl=en&view=map&geocode=FQpD9AEdexYz-g&split=0&sll=32.784869,-97.314969&sspn=0.009941,0.012067&hq=&hnear=Oakhurst,+Fort+Worth,+Texas&z=14&iwloc=A)), but with her speed and determination, I'd not be too surprised if she had made it outside the loop in 48hrs.

Lexi has chocolate lab coloring, white chest, some whitening from age around muzzle. Approx 65 lbs. 9 yrs old. Lab mix, resembles GSP breed build. She is not dangerous, but has typical breed anxiety. Answers to Lexi. Thank you for looking. My wife, our daughter, Lexi's brother, and I miss her deeply.

Attached is the "Lost Dog" poster we are hanging up. If you guys think you might have a good place for one, please print one out. Thanks, and sorry to hijack from good, happy beer thoughts on the start of the holiday weekend.

i hope you find her too. I lost my chow after 15 years and know how that feels. She looks like a weimaraner/lab mix. good luck

Sucks, I'll be looking out. I'll put a tennis ball in my car just in case.

That is Bano's hood too. And I know some other folks around there. I will put the word out.

Thanks, all. We appreciate the thoughts, kind words, and any and all passing around of the information. It's a draining thing on the fam, for sure. Our other dog is buggin out and concerned about where Lexi is. Angela has had Lexi longer than she's been with me, so she is having an exceptionally difficult time with her not coming home yet.

Fingers crossed and back on the hunt.

DOG UPDATE: She's home! A great family not far away from us picked her up three days ago, has been taking excellent care of her, and kept their eyes peeled for signs and flyers. They finally spotted one tonight and immediately called us.

Now that things are getting back to normal, my new thought is where the hell did she go during the three days between leaving and meeting the people that took her in?! WTF, dog vacation?!

My family and I wanted to thank you guys for the support, kind words, and any help done while we looked for her. Please know that you and everyone else who shared the information across the landscape has our deepest gratitude!

Very glad to hear!

WTF, dog vacation?!

Yeah, probably just wanted to get away from all the responsibilities she has. Barking at stuff, scratching at stuff, smelling stuff. It'll wear you down.

I'll bet they treated her like a dog!!!

that might not be a bad thing. eating whenever, sleeping all you want, no responsibilities, taking vacations and not having to account for yourself... glad to hear the dog's back. it would kill us if 1 of ours went missing
