This took first place at AHA Nationals in 2010

13 lbs. Marris Otter
.85 lbs. CaraMunich
.65 lbs. Carafa Special
.50 lbs. Crystal 150L
.25 lbs. Chocolate
.25 lbs. Cara-Pils
2.0 lbs. DME

Saaz pellet 5.8AA.45oz. 60 mins.
Hallertau Hersbruker pellet 4.6AA 1.65oz. 60 mins
Hallertau Hersbruker pellet 4.6AA .30oz. 10 mins
Hallertau Hersbruker pellet 4.6AA .30oz. 0 mins

White Labs WLP830 German Lager

Mash at 155 degrees for 60 mins.
Boiled for 110 mins.
Ferment at 52 degrees

National judge - "Rich and Roasty, with carmel sweetness and some hop bitterness in the finish. Alcohol noted. Balance is malty, but bitterness provides support. Clean ferment. Med hop flavor."

National judge - "Very light aroma but the flavor profile is spot on."

Natioanl judge - "Good rich malt up front w/a touch of roast and caramel; good malt-hop balance; finish on sweet side."

I'll have to check with Conley, but this looks like something that 2C's brewery could pull off.
