I guess holding the glass of beer is just way too difficult thus the easier method of holding a stick.

This is a great invention for those go getters with pet rocks that don't have time to walk them.

I suppose one benefit is that the beer will stay at a cooler temperature for a longer time than it would with a warm hand contacting the glass. Still, I don't see myself flying out the door to buy one.
