The Cactus Challenge has decided in the best interest of the competition to limit the categories. Below is a message to the Lone Star Circuit.
The event and ceremony will be held Friday, September 18th, 2009, at a yet to be determined location, although we are considering the patio area at Murphy's Irish Pub, but that aside, I would appreciate the effort if you would contact the Lone Star circuit and relay the information on style categories and entry dates so they can post it and the other clubs can get brewing in time to enter.
Here are the style categories:
Category 8(English Pale Ale)
A) Standard/Ordinary Bitter
B) Special/Best/Premium Bitter
C) Extra Special/Strong Bitter (English Pale Ale)
Category 10(American Ale)
A) American Pale Ale
Category 14(India Pale Ale, IPA)
A) English IPA
B) American IPA
C) Imperial IPA
Category 16(Belgian and French Ale)
B) Belgian Pale Ale
Also, Area 51, the most unusual Pale Ale
Deadlines for entries are August 10th thru August 21st, 2009
Other club info, June 's meeting will be at Donn Warner’s house(5210 15th st.@700pm). Any questions call @ 445-0772, thanks, Dan Weston
