So, we swung by BJ's for lunch. They were doing private party stuff for the chamber of commerce.

On our way to loop around to Abuelo's, I saw a sign on the old Steak and Ale "Coming Soon: Bottlecap Alley". Has anyone heard of this? Could this be a beer bar?

Not sure what it is but apparently there's one in college station.

for those that have not been to college station. bottlecap alley is an actual alley next to the dixie chicken where there is a ton of bottlecaps thrown on the ground.

That sign has been there for well over a year and I've never seen any work being done.

All of these failed attempts at opening brewpubs makes me wonder if brewers make horrible business men.

Well most do-ers make bad businessmen. You have to have businessman in your blood, at least a little bit to turn a trade skill in profitability.

Most failed attempts aren't by brewers at all.

There is an MG's Brewpub in Denton that opened about 10 years ago. The guy had a desire to run a brewpub and had all the signage and logos done before he found out how expensive and difficult BYO is. So he just opened as a normal bar & grill, no on-site brewing, but kept the signs.
