.85 lbs CaraMunich
.50 lbs Crystal 150L
.25 lbs Chocolate
.65 lbs Carafa Special
.25 lbs Cara-Pils Dextrine
3 oz Ultra 4.2% AA 60 mins
.3 oz Hallertau 4.6% AA 10 mins
.3 oz Hallertau 4.6% AA 3 mins
Yeast: WLP830 German Lager
Judge's comments:
National judge - "Flavor starts with a nice mixture of clean roasty malts and nice dried fruit esters. The esters fade soon, leaving a roasty dry finish. Malt flavors at the start could be a little more dominant, but this beer finishes very well."
