ARTICLE 6. No other plays or officiating decisions are reviewable. However, the replay official may correct egregious errors, including those involving the game clock, whether or not a play is reviewable. This excludes fouls that are not specifically reviewable (Reviewable fouls: Rules 12-3-2-c and d and 12-3-5-a and 12-3-4-b).

The whistle was blown with time on the clock. The timekeeper let the clock expire. The refs knew it. They have the right to correct egregious errors (including game clock issues) even if the play is not reviewable. Letting the clock expire after the whistle was blown, potentially resulting in an altered game outcome, could be considered an egregious error. They were simply correcting that error.

Besides, I bet if the sooners had been in texas' place, and they didn't add that second to the clock, you'd be bitching and moaning about how you guys were cheated, that there was still time on the clock, reviewable play or not.

If I have a decent set of darts in my hand, I can throw pretty good, but unfortunately I lost my good darts in a drunken stupor one night. Big fat bar darts absolutely suck and don't fly right, so I may have to pick up another good set.
