Default Suggestions for Austin area drinking

My wife and I are headed down to Austin & Fredricksberg this weekend for some hiking & drinking. I'm looking for some suggestions. We are for sure going to Jester King. I haven't been to any of the breweries in the area except for Real Ale & the Draught House (circa 2008). It looks like many of the breweries have opened tap houses. Suggestions?

Did that trip a few weeks ago.
Austin BeerWorks has a good little tap room.
In Frederickburg, be sure to check out GrapeCreek and Hilmy winery.

Oskar Blues, Adelberts, 4th Tap, and soon Cellis all in the same area and close to each other in Austin. If you are hungry, Slab BBQ is nearby. Their beer selection is not good, but the BBQ is fantastic.

My wife and I go to Fredericksburg many times each year and we are wine club members at few places down there. There is a new brewery called Alstadt on Hwy 290, don't know if the doors are open yet but if they are you should go. The building looks amazing.
Also you should make a trip to Real Ale in Blanco. I've been several times and their taproom is very nice with many limited edition beers on tap. Then just up the road in Johnson City there Brewpub called Pecan Street brewery.

My favorite places to go to are:
  • Lewis Wines - reds are very very good
  • Garrison Brothers Distillery - best bourbon in Texas I think
  • Pedernalles Cellers - Patio with a view
  • Pint House Pizza on Burnet in Austin

Black Star Co-Op (brewpub) has great food and beer!
Whip-In (bottle shop, brewpub) is amazing. Great Indian food, big local & Belgian tap selection with growler fill plus a huge bottle selection.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Didn't even think about bringing a growler. We did bring an empty Ice chest to fill.
