Methinks thou dost protesteth too much. Apparently the BA is on the right track, or they would not solicit such a strong response.

I think it's funny how informing consumers equals making up their minds for them. That implies that if consumers know the truth they will always pick independent craft.

I am beginning to lose my patience for hearing these whiny newly rich sellout brewers acting as though they are being persecuted. You got your money, that's what you wanted. You don't get to turn your back on your fellow brewers and the people who supported you for years and still be cool and independent. Suck it up and enjoy being rich.

I also wonder if any of these guys ever reimburse or pay it forward to the people who volunteered at their breweries while they were getting started.

I think I'll buy an extra six pack of local tonight.

I sold my brewery and now the other breweries don't want to be my friends...

Boy Brandon said it... Poor me, I got a huge paycheck while selling out to the enemy of small breweries, now people are making fun of me. Booohooooo

Suck it up cupcake... Enjoy your money, deal with the ramifications.

I'm enjoying Rahr and St. Arnold tonight...

I bet not!

I like the argument the beer is the same before and after the sellout. Right, but did you stop to think we are smart enough to know who's pockets we are lining with cash when we buy beer??

The argument saying wine and spirits is the real threat makes no sense what-so-ever to me. And if In-Bev had a High End-like division in those markets, i still wouldn't buy their products.

Darkwing likes the seal and will use it for it's intended purpose. He shows little remorse for the sellouts and will support true craft producers whenever possible.

Whine, whine, whine...yeah, the argument that the BA is making up my mind for me is a complete non-argument. If there is a beer that I enjoy, and I learn that it is made by a brewery owned by Big Beer, I am still free to buy it. BA is not "making up our minds for us." They are just providing a service to help further the values that they have recognized as being important to many of us.

I love St Bernardus beers. They aren't Trappiste. My choice.
