Default Cicerone

Got this email today:

"On behalf of Cicerone Program Director Ray Daniels and the Cicerone Exam Management Team, I'd like to congratulate you on passing the Certified Cicerone® exam! Details of your score are given below"

Took me long enough!

That is awesome, congrats!

So how different is that test from the BJCP test?

It's way more in depth. 4 hours, multiple choice, 3 essays, a video demonstration, 13 sample tasting of:

4 beers, given 2 choices for each. Pick which style it is, and they're very similar styles.
5 beers, 1 control, 4 doctored. Tell the flaw or if it isn't.
4 actual commercial beers that customers sent back. You're told if it was bottle or draft. Tell if the customer is correct in sending back, what the issue with it is, and what causes it. Or if they were wrong and it's not flawed.

80 over all is required to pass. 70 is required to pass the tasting portion. Even if you score over 80 over all, but 68 on tasting, no pass.
