Thanks for posting guys. Truly appreciate the support and friendships from the club. Honestly, I was ecstatic with the 1st place in Austin and then we had to re-brew for NHC, because I drank it all

Anyways ... great feeling when gold was called yesterday.

We brewed an American Brown Ale, within the Amer Brown & Amber category. I will post the full recipe, but the Brown turned out with this great nutty and chocolate aromas. I kicked up the chloride to achieve a bit of a softer mouth feel, but still let the bitterness maintain center stage for the style. The flavor had that chocolate & toasty malt flavors with a hint of roastiness, which led into the spicy Chinook hops in the finish.

I am obviously biased, but I have really enjoyed drinking this one.
