Default Mead Brew-In - July 22nd

James Lallande has offered to host a Cap & Hare Mead Brew-In at his house in Hurst, Saturday, July 22nd.

The idea is to, as a group, go through the initial process of mead making on site at Jame's house then you take home your share and finish the rest of the process over the next few weeks, months...year.

James is driving down to Austin to pick up the honey the week before.

Cost will be approximately $50 plus everyone will need to bring their own Spring Water & fermenters.
Payment will be in advance so James can pick up the honey
We will talk with Clint Walker about a discount if we get 10+
We will post the varieties and descriptions ahead of time so people can experiment. -- Would be awesome to make different varietal honeys.

The pool will be open!!

We can discuss food options as we get closer. Everyone has to bring yellow fizzy beers and swimsuits are required.

This is a great way to get started in mead making or if you want to participate and lend your own mead making knowledge.

Please post below if you would like a share and take part in what will be a fun and educational event.

1. Greg Etzel
2. Chris Crowley
3. Robert Scroggs
4. Brandon Martin
5. Stan Hudson
6. Chris Conly
7. James Rodriguez
8. Pete Walden
9. Matt Westlake
10.

I'm in.

This is a good time to get on board with mead making so we have enough entries for the next few Bluebonnets. They may or may not be ready by 2018, but they will be beyond that. Either way this gives you the opportunity to enter a few more bottles to help get our Club of the Year trophy back!

Also, read up on the suggested ingredients and know that the most commonly used 'brand name' nutrients for staggered additions (GoFerm, Fermaid K, O, etc) have recently become available at Texas Brewing Inc.

As long as James is required to wear a swimsuit I am in. I've been dying to get a look at him in swimwear for a long time.

I would be in, but driving back from a HS reunion, don't ask how many..

You willl will learn more in one day than you would in a lifetime on your own journey from Big James. This excercise is highly recommended. Do not miss it.
