Default 2018 AHA Nationals Judging

I know that we've just begun to work our way through judging Bluebonnet, but first round judging of AHA Nationals is coming soon enough that I wanted to give everyone a heads up for travel planning.

Austin judging will be on the weekend of April 13-15.

I did this last year, and thought it was a lot of fun. I made a few friends among the Austin homebrew community, and I learned a lot.

Judging for Nationals is a little different from most of the other contests I've judged. They use "Queued Judging," which helps move things along more quickly and smoothly. Last year, they also used the checkbox score sheets. They are doing so again this year, but the score sheet has been tweaked (improved, IMHO).

I would call what Austin has done "modified" queued judging. They are a little looser with how it should work. Still a great time. I've judged down there 3 years now and plan to go back this year.
